Bad Boy band of brothers B5 — short for Breeding 5, à la the Jackson 5 — began as TNT Boyz but changed the name when youngest sibling Bryan joined up. Carnell, Dustin, Kelly, and Patrick won a number of talent competitions during the late ’90s and early 2000s, developing their energetic performance style while gaining attention from a number of industry heavyweights. P. Diddy eventually took the group under his wings, signing them to Bad Boy and arranging a roster of reputable producers to collaborate with them for their debut album. The self-titled release reached number 19 on the Billboard album chart, and the group released a follow up — Don’t Talk, Just Listen — in September 2007.

After a small hiatus, the group signed with the legendary record label Motown and were in the studio crafting a new sound under a new name. Returning back to their B5 roots they released their buzz track “Single” as a free listen for the fans. In 2013 they released the promising single “Say Yes,” with a video that garnished them over 5.5 million views on Youtube and followed with them landing a spot as a featured act on the Backstreet Boys’ In a World Like This tour.  Shortly after the tour, the group decided to call it quits due to conflicts with management.
